Q: Where do you live?

A. Mill Valley, California

Q: Tell us about your organization.

A. This is the first (and only) photographic book to document groups of activist girls age 10-18 globally. They are tackling the world's most intractable problems (child marriage, domestic violence, trafficking, war) and they are succeeding.

Q: What is the one piece of advice you would like to share with other women looking to start an organization?

A. It doesn't matter how old you are, you can change the world.

Q: How can WorldWideWomen readers get involved in what you are doing?

A. Every chapter of the book ends with a section about how to engage with the group featured in that chapter, based on interviews with the girls about what kids of help they need to be even more effective.

Q: Who is the greatest female influence in your life?

A. My mother.

Q: Please share with us something that you want other women around the world to hear.

A. If you channel your outrage at injustice, you will be effective causing positive social change.
