Q: What is the one piece of advice you would like to share with other women looking to start an organization?

A. I have been the founding president of two associations for women in sport. You need to develop the vision of what you want and then collaborate and cooperate with other like-minded women and men to go forward.

Q: How can WorldWideWomen readers get involved in what you are doing?

A. We would love more members, so please look at our website www.iapesgw.org and join online.

Q: Who is the greatest female influence in your life?

A. Betty Watson, who was President of the Australian Women’s Basketball Association. The “mother” of women’s basketball in Australia and a great friend.

Q: Please share with us something that you want other women around the world to hear.

A. Believe in yourself and have confidence to do the things you want to do!
