Q: Tell us about your organization.

A. Cyant connects art and technology to foster learning, creativity and engagement. Our goal is to enable a diverse community of "Cyantists", from all genders, ages and backgrounds, to learn, connect, create and make new things in new ways. We are currently particularly focused on making 3D modeling and 3D printing more accessible. Indeed, 3D printing and related technologies are disrupting industries from education, jewelry and fashion, to manufacturing, healthcare and space exploration. They can enable all types of creatives and makers to be able to bring their ideas to life, at lower costs and, increasingly, using sustainable materials and design options. So, we have created an iPad app, Cyant’s Lab™, to enable kids of *all* ages to learn about 3D printing, and easily and intuitively create 3D models and print them, using something humans have known to do since prehistoric ages: drawing! Our aim is for Cyant's Lab™ to support design and creativity in a number of activities and projects, from STEAM learning and educational activities, to jewelry, crafts, decor and more!

Q: What is the one piece of advice you would like to share with other women looking to start an organization?

A. Often the fear of failure can be a strong obstacle to starting, so do not be afraid to try and pursue the idea you are passionate about! And do not be discouraged by obstacles you may perceive or anticipate: a roadblock is an opportunity for learning and taking a next step in your journey.

Q: Who is the greatest female influence in your life?

A. There are a number of great women that I can think of, but I particularly want to highlight my mother: she made sure I could receive and pursue a great education, and I am grateful for her valuable encouragements and support at important times throughout my life.

***
Q: Please share with us something that you want other women around the world to hear.

A. Take time to appreciate and connect with the world around you, learn new things, and sketch and draw along the way: you never know what idea it might inspire and what it might lead you to create! And for those moments when you are looking at a daunting path ahead, whatever this may be to you, it is always worth remembering Audrey Hepburn’s words: "Nothing's impossible! The word itself says 'I'm possible’"!

***
Q: What do you feel is your greatest achievement?

A. It may be easier to answer this question in a few years! This being said, my son is definitely one I am grateful for!
